Jeremiah is a 14 year old SS 2 student from Kogi. He was the best student in his class with 81.2% in the last term exams he sat for. He wants to be a pharmacist when he grows up.
He lives with his parents in a family-owned accommodation. Jeremiah’s dad is retired but suffers from a spinal cord injury. His mum sells bread and earns little to support the family. She also suffers from severe arthritis. They live on rent from their few tenants, while Jeremiah’s half siblings have been helping with his fees, but they are struggling to keep up.
