Description
Four of the children we sponsor through our Disadvantage to Advantage Initiative were made homeless when the Lagos State Government gave orders for the demolition of their homes, along with other shanties and illegal structures at Jakande, in March 2024. Another child sponsored by us helplessly looked on as her mother’s shop was destroyed also. Many many more were affected by this demolition action, but we are reaching out to appeal for your support for these five children and their families.
We responded by providing food and temporary respite to our children and their families who were left stranded. We also assisted them with funds to get new places to rent. You can read more about this incident and our first response on our BLOG.
